iPhone + Windows · development preview
A link on your iPhone. A document on your PC.
That small gap between phone and computer is exactly what iClippy is being built to close. The iPhone client exists as a testing build; Windows is an early text-only prototype. This guide describes the implementation and its limits, not a verified public release.
Use Share → iClippy in the full build, or hold the app icon → Capture Clipboard → Paste.
Connect using a recovery code, sync, then double-click a text item to copy it.

What you can install today
The iPhone testing project requires Xcode on a Mac and your Apple ID. The free personal target does not include the Share extension and needs renewal after seven days. Windows has a native .NET prototype, but no public, validated download yet. Check Downloads for release status before paying for Pro.
How the intended workflow fits together
Create an iClippy account on an Apple or Android client. In Settings, obtain its recovery code and enter it in Windows → Connect encrypted library. Treat that code like a password: it contains the capability and key for your library. On iPhone, paste a short non-sensitive note into iClippy. After sync, retrieve it in Windows and copy it into your destination app.
The Windows limits that matter
The prototype handles text. It does not offer the Mac card tray, image capture, a Vault unlock screen or the same offline history experience. Pairing and sync still need end-to-end testing with the hosted service. Do not use this prototype as the only copy of important data.
Why iPhone needs a tap
iOS does not give an ordinary clipboard app continuous access to other apps’ copied content in the background. The user initiates Share or Paste. Background refresh is scheduled by iOS and may be delayed; opening the app and pulling down requests sync.
How this differs from Phone Link
Microsoft’s cross-device clipboard support applies to supported Android-device combinations. It is not a general-purpose iPhone clipboard history bridge. Check Microsoft’s supported-device requirements before choosing a workflow.
